Students

Students use their NetID and NetID password to log in to MySBmail at https://mysbmail.stonybrook.edu. MySBmail accounts are generated automatically for new students. Students who used Sparky Webmail before the arrival of MySBmail on May 4, 2009, were automatically given a MySBmail account. As of May 4, 2009, new messages will no longer be delivered to Sparky Webmail. Students will be able to log into Sparky Webmail for at least a year (until May 2010) in case there are messages they need to retrieve from the old system.

Students must speak with a consultant at the SB Union SINC Site or the Computing Center SINC Site in order to request a Unix (Sparky) account for programming and scripts.

Faculty

Faculty who would like to request a MySBmail account should send an e-mail to Sanjay Kapur in the Computing Center. Once an account is created, the employee's NetID and NetID password is required to log in at https://mysbmail.stonybrook.edu.

A Unix account for programming and scripts can be requested through Diana Voss in the Teaching, Learning + Technology department.
