TeLNeT provides the telephone and networking infrastructure for the University.

About Telecommunications and Networking (TeLNeT)

TeLNeT provides telecommunication services as well as networking services to Stony Brook University, SUNY Manhattan, SUNY Southampton as well as many other off-premise sites. Services include:

• Installation of all new cables and phones
• Consultation on moves, adds or changes of telephone lines and equipment
• Changes to telephone features
• Voicemail
• Call processing (call processing adds menu options to your main number which allows callers to reach a specific person or division within your area)
• Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) and Observer Composer (ACD advises your caller where they are in the que while waiting to be answered)
• Removal of telephone services
• Activation of data (Hospital and Tech Park network is supported by Hospital Networking)
• Wireless Internet Access
• BlackBerry Support
• Telephone and Jack Repair
• Campus Television Services
• IP Telephony
• Telephone training
• Conference calls (using campus features and/or AT&T services)
