DoIT Training Facility
About the DoIT Training Facility
The DoIT Training Facility is a computer lab consisiting of 16 Dell Optiplex 745 computers--15 student desks and 1 teacher/leader desk. The DoIT Training Facility utilizes VMWare to create "Virtual" computers that allow for different training environments. This allows for training under Windows XP or Vista, Lotus Notes 7.0.3 or 8.0.1, and Office 2003 or 2007. The teacher workstation is displayed on both a projector screen and a second monitor adjacent to each student station in order for all users to easily follow along with their lessons.
The DoIT Training Facility is perfect for showing users new software or computer procedures. The lab provides different training environments with a single click of the mouse, allowing users to train on a wide variety of software including Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Peoplesoft, and many more. Additionally, the DoIT Training Facility can hold 15 students, each with their own workstation, providing resources that otherwise might not be available in your own department. The DoIT Training Facility is located in Room 126 in the ECC Building near the entrance to Disability Support Services.
Who can use the DoIT Training Facility?
The DoIT Training Facility is available to any Faculty/Staff Member or Department who wishes to offer or participate in a training course.
When is the DoIT Training Facility available?
The DoIT Training Facility is available during the day from 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.
