
The Microsoft Select License is a software volume licensing agreement providing Stony Brook University with a significant discount on specific software products for University and Hospital-Owned Machines only. The University participates in this program via the New York State Microsoft Select and Education Select License Program (NYS-OGS contract PT61408).
Hundreds of Microsoft products are offered to SB faculty and staff for their University and Hospital-Owned Machines under the Microsoft Select License Agreement. Scroll to pages 22-41 of the HP/NYS Office of General Services (OGS) product list, titled "Items #2 and #4 Education Select" in order to view all the software products offered under this program. The item numbers and prices needed to submit an order are found on this list.
Client Support will install the following Microsoft Select products on computers within its support area:
To purchase a license for any of these products and have Client Support conduct the installation, individuals must work in a department that falls within Client Support's service area. A license agreement and Material & Service Requisition voucher (found below) must be returned to the DoIT Business Office, ECC Building, Room 237, Zip=2610.
To obtain products offered under the Microsoft Select agreement and have a local support technician install them, or to install them yourself, please complete the Certified Departmental Support Technician Installation license agreement and Material & Service Requisition forms listed below and return them to the DoIT Business Office, ECC Building, Room 237, Zip=2610. Media for items within the Microsoft Select subscription will be supplied to the purchaser on a locally-produced CD, via network, or on a loan basis.
