Staff can access their Stony Brook files in a number of different ways when they are traveling or working from home.

Work-at-Home Service (VPN)

Stony Brook University's Work-at-Home service (VPN) allows staff members to connect to University resources such as shared folders, PeopleSoft, and internal Web sites from off-campus using DSL or cable. Staff can access this service using their NetID and NetID password.

You must be off campus to access the Work-at-Home/VPN service. Go to http://sslj.wah.stonybrook.edu/. You will have to install the Juniper software the first time you connect.

Portable Lotus Notes

Staff can install the Lotus Notes e-mail client on a USB flash memory device and plug it into any Windows machine on campus or around the world.
